Dyke Baptist Chapel and in particular, its attached schoolroom, housed for many years Dyke Village Primary School until its closure. The Chapel continues to house weekly services for the congregation and The Schoolroom now provides a valuable amenity as a rehearsal room and storage facility for the local amateur dramatic group Bourne Footlights.

Our Chair, Gerry Burrows and fellow Trustee Trevor Peacock, were pleased to meet the Chapel & Schoolroom Trustees on a very sunny morning earlier this week to inspect the finished damp proofing and timber treatment that has recently been carried out to the building at a cost of some £9,000.00. Mr Richard Knipe, chair of the Chapel Trustees said, “The funding from the Trust has not only enabled us to carry out the necessary repairs but has also enabled us to face the future confidently as custodians of this heritage building”.
