The
Len Pick Trust |

the general benefit of the townspeople
of Bourne Lincolnshire” |

Do you want to help in benefit our community? |

Following the recent sad death of Mr Terry Bates, the Len Pick Trust will be recruiting a further co-opted member with effect from the 1st April next. Chairman of the Trust, Trevor Peacock, said, “Terry was committed to the local community and joined the Trust at an early stage of our development and made a very valuable contribution to our work and we look forward to welcoming a new co-opted member to continue his work in assisting the trust in attaining our founder’s goals”.
From Bourne Town Juniors Football Club to The Darby & Joan Club, from the Pregnancy Advice Centre to the Citizen’s Advice Bureau and from The Westfield Primary School to the Robert Manning College, Len Pick’s legacy is helping to make Bourne a better community for all.
We are looking for a further co-opted member to join us from the 1st April 2009. The vacancy is for a member of our Grant’s Committee. With worsening economic conditions, we are going to have to make some hard choices in 2009, so an awareness and familiarity of the needs and aspirations of the community served by the Trust is of particular importance. The successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate a pro-active approach to the Trust and its work. Regular attendance at meetings of the Trust will be required as is the ability to communicate effectively and work with others in a committee setting. Preference will be given to persons resident, or working within, the area of benefit.
The Len Pick Trust welcomes applications from all sectors of the local community. Previous experience of Trusteeship is not a requirement as training will be available. However, applicants must be aged 18 or over. The Trust is independent and the Trustees would therefore not expect to appoint anyone who is actively engaged in party political or local government matters. The post will be subject to full CRB Disclosure.
